The architecture of Cavo Tagoo embodies elegance and simplicity, with confident angles creating a feeling of modern luxury living. The predominant colors are white and gray, but there is smoked wood and plenty of rose gold touches. It all feels minimal but soft, inspiring harmony.
The hotel rooms in Santorini tend to be on the small side — but this is not the case in Cavo. We stayed at one of their sunset suites with a pool, where the living space was plentiful. It extended to the large pool and terrace decorated with white stones.

Our pool and terrace was a sublime vantage point for the stunning views, and an ideal place to sunbathe and occasionally swim or to pass the time al fresco, admiring the view and enjoying a bottle of wine.
Although truth be said, sometimes we couldn’t decide which place we preferred for sunset: our private terrace or the main infinity pool next to the restaurant.
We loved starting the day with an a la carte breakfast in the excellent OVAC restaurant, which overlooks the main infinity pool. The main swimming pool is gorgeous. It’s heated, and its infinity surface goes up to the caldera’s edge. The floating sun loungers are great for sunbathing if you want a change from relaxing on your private terrace.
Where to stay in Santorini
Cavo Tagoo’s location plays a significant role in its appeal. It is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy the spectacle of the sun dipping into the crimson Aegean. The iconic, spell-binding Santorini seascape is a beautiful backdrop for Cavo’s design and comforts.
