Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa is located some 400 kilometers south of Malé—so getting to this island resort is the hard part. But once you get here, there is much to discover. Not least of which is the Huvadhoo, the largest and deepest atoll in the country, thanks to which Park Hyatt Hadahaa offers one of the best snorkeling house reefs in the Maldives.
The five-star PADI dive center is likely to be the key activity destination for many guests. An easily accessible coral reef is no more than 50 m from the shore, and it offers a great range of diving topography as well as abundance and diversity of marine life. With unspoiled reef surrounding Hadahaa, an island is a great place for both experienced divers and beginners.
Like Hadahaa’s location, the resort’s architecture is out of the ordinary—successfully combining a contemporary look with the local, Maldivian style. The award-winning SCDA Architects designed the Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa to embody a sense of space and to minimize the environmental footprint.
Minimalistic with rustic touches, the interiors utilize timber and stone and the high, angled timber roofs keep them cool. There are 14 Aqua Villas and 36 Island Villas, 20 of which come with a private pool. The highlights of the over-water Aqua Villas are floor-to-ceiling windows with uninterrupted views out to sea, as well as spacious sundecks with direct Indian Ocean access. The Island Villas are shaded by native vegetation and have walled gardens with outdoor bathrooms and sundecks.
Park Hyatt Hadahaa offers a refreshing dining experience of the highest standard. Breakfast and lunch are served in the open-air Relish restaurant, while fine dinners can be had at Battuta’s Restaurant.
The privacy and tranquillity of the award-winning Vidhun Spa offer guests the ultimate in holistic treatments. There is also a gym, yoga pavilions, two freshwater pools, a library, and a boutique.
