Nature and privacy

Located on the southwest coast of Maha in Seychelles, overlooking a secluded Anse Louis beach, Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas is a place of wood, stone and thatch—inspired by local traditions and the East African Swahili architecture.

Utilizing the pavilion structures as the main architectural forms, the landscape artists/architects Lek Bunnag and Bill Bensley took full advantage of the resort’s location, working around the habitat rather than transforming it.

The result is a high spec, low impact build, aimed at providing maximum privacy whilst respecting the beautiful natural surroundings.

30 private villas

Set in their own, gated gardens, the guest villas sport a lounge, outdoor viewing platform, infinity pool, kitchenette and bedroom with an en-suite.

An open-air day-bed crowned by a thatched roof dominates the living area in each villa—whilst warm and woody opulence of Asian-inspired luxury determines the bedroom mood.

Simple and sophisticated in equal measure, the rooms bear a hallmark of minimalism born out of the need to reflect the Seychelles fragile beauty.

Rejuvenation of senses

The shared areas stand out thanks to their enormous peaked roofs, open sides and beautifully polished floors.

The Tec Tec restaurant, bar, shop, and various seating areas are all situated around a huge pool and the spa is situated higher up the hillside. There is also an open-air dining pavilion with a beachfront bar for sundowners.

Whether indulging in Twenty Fingers Massage at the La Prairie Spa or enjoying a private barbecue cooked at the villa—at Maia, all senses are catered to with graciousness and smile.

Anantara Maia Seychelles Villas experience epitomizes tropical luxury. A truly relaxing and tranquil place, set in a stunning location.

Villa 205 has private access to a tiny “secret” beach, whilst villa 221 boasts the best sunset views. Signature Villas or Ocean Panoramic villas up on the hillside offer the most privacy, with Villa 206, well hidden by tropical foliage, the most private of all.

• Great villas, each with private pool and secluded gazebo that includes an oversized day bed;
• Incredible standard of service, and a butler assigned to each villa;
• World-class La Prairie spa;
• Absence of a dress code in the spirit of ease and total relaxation: it’s a place to unwind and let go.

What you should know

• Guests looking to socialize may find Anantara Maia a little too quiet: here time is best spent in the privacy of the villa;
• Maia luxury doesn’t come cheap. Prepare for the damage;
• Due to the hotel’s location, there are a lot of steps to climb, which may be challenging for people with disabilities. The restaurant, pool, bar and spa can be reached by a buggy;
• Children are welcome only in Ocean Front Beach villas.
